FW15 : Bejeweled

Facial embellishments and statement jewellery couldn't be unremarkable on the fall winter 2015 runways. Let's do a little reminder :

Givenchy : "VIDEO GAMES" was saying Riccardo Tisci just before the revamped tribal punk troubadours ran off of -likely Assassin's Creed inspired renaissance- stairs. It helped us to link these creatures to a fantasy strip cartoon, as the baroque touch seems, for the art director, a favorite theme to work with. We waited Rodarte's sisters until the turn with this trend but they took another way, the 70's glamorous super women one.
Balenciaga : "Past meets future". As was my first impression, the almighty Balenciaga woman is future chic, and was immerged into a 2001 Space Odyssey meets Mars Attack atmosphere. Purists would say that Balenciaga's chic singularity were just revisited through modern elegance.
Acne Studios' eighty patchworks take on the runway was faced out by nose jewellery, meanwhile Tibi and Marni were playing in the big league of statement earrings, Donna Karan following timidly behind. Quirky yet balanced Phoebe Philo made it through accessories and buttons for Céline. Accessories for accessories, that's a big deal. Rochas was doing shoe embellishment where Dior was playing with chainmail, putting some on the collars and earrings. Finally, Dolce & Gabbana, appart from flower crowns, took the earphones to the next level. Let's include Rick Owens on this list because this silver makeup is everything.
Applause ?
