Friends weaving

I did not resist to share with you the marvelous gift I received recently from a beloved and talented friend. Hand made with love (it surely does), this 70s inspired weaving was all I needed to make a start to the decoration of my new house.

I realized thus how important it was to be intentional when you are giving, and most of the time it goes further than a simple present when you make it yourself. French people are not really into gift giving at every moment and this was a lesson for me to care more. All the knots and weaving you are creating in your life are connected to form a giant tapestry of love, that you have to care about to keep it beautiful.

Je n'ai pas pu résister à l'idée de vous montrer ce superbe cadeau qui m'a été offert récemment par une amie chère et talentueuse. Faite à la main avec amour (je n'en doute pas), ce tissage inspiré des années 70 est la pièce qu'il me fallait comme point de départ à la décoration de ma nouvelle maison. 

J'ai donc réalisé combien il était important d'être intentionnel dans ses relations et lorsque l'on offre. Cela va même plus loin quand on a fabriqué soi même ce cadeau. Les français n'ont pas l'habitude d'offrir des cadeaux sans raison et ça a été une leçon pour moi de me soucier plus de ces détails. Tout les noeuds et tissages que l'on crée dans sa vie sont connectés et forment une gigantesque  tapisserie d'amour, dont il faut s'occuper pour qu'elle reste belle.
